Microsoft Excel 2003 Visual Tweaks - Remove Chart ToolTips

By default, when you hover your mouse pointer over a section of a chart created with Microsoft Excel 2003, tooltips, or popup text, will appear. These can display either the chart section area and/or the value of a chart item, such as a bar or pie wedge. While some appreciate this information, others do not like this popup text. If you fall in the latter category:

1. Click "Tools", selecting "Options".

2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Chart" tab.

3. Underneath "Chart tips", uncheck "Show names" and "Show values".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft Excel 2003 Visual Tweaks - Remove Chart ToolTips.
