Summary: Stop showing the exclamation point whenever pasting cells in Microsoft Excel 2003 spreadsheets.
After inserting individual cells, rows, or columns in Microsoft Excel 2003 worksheets, a button with an exclamation point may appear. Clicking this button allows you to choose options such as whether or not to keep the formatting the same as previous cells or to clear formatting information from the pasted cells. While some people find this button useful, others find the exclamation point annoying. Thus, to remove this button:
1. Click "Tools", selecting "Options".
2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Edit" tab.
3. Uncheck "Show Insert Options buttons".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
