Summary: Prevent Excel 2003 from automatically placing live hyperlinks in a spreadsheet.
Enter a web address into a Microsoft Excel 2003 spreadsheet, such as http://www.malektips.com/, and the address will automatically turn into a hyperlink. While many find this behavior beneficial, others may find it an inconvenience. If you would like to turn off automatic hyperlinks:
1. Click "Tools" - "AutoCorrect Options".
2. When the "AutoCorrect" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "AutoFormat As You Type" tab.
3. Uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
