Microsoft Excel 2003 Cell Formatting - Stop Hyperlinking Web Address URLs

Enter a web address into a Microsoft Excel 2003 spreadsheet, such as http://www.malektips.com/, and the address will automatically turn into a hyperlink. While many find this behavior beneficial, others may find it an inconvenience. If you would like to turn off automatic hyperlinks:

1. Click "Tools" - "AutoCorrect Options".

2. When the "AutoCorrect" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "AutoFormat As You Type" tab.

3. Uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft Excel 2003 Cell Formatting - Stop Hyperlinking Web Address URLs.
