Microsoft Excel 2007 - Toggle Scroll Bars

If desired, you can turn horizontal and vertical scroll bars on or off in the current Microsoft Excel 2007 workbook.

While scroll bars make navigating through larger workbooks easier when using the mouse, many Excel 2007 users prefer navigating workbooks via the keyboard. For them, scroll bars may be rarely used and just get in the way of the current document.

1. Access the Microsoft Excel 2007 Options menu.

2. When the "Excel Options" dialog box appears, select "Advanced" in the left pane.

3. In the right pane, underneath "Display options for this workbook", check or uncheck "Show horizontal scroll bar" and "Show vertical scroll bar" as desired.

4. Click "OK" to close the "Excel Options" dialog box.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft Excel 2007 - Toggle Scroll Bars.
